How to get started with digital fabric printing

In Brisbane, digital printing is very popular and many of our clients use this process to create t-shirt transfers which can then be pressed onto t-shirts or other garments and used in their marketing campaigns. One of the questions we are quite often asked is how do they get started with digital fabric printing and what do they need to give us, to us to set the ball in motion?

So we have put together a few tips for companies that will hopefully make organising your next promotional campaign a breeze:

•    The design: If you want to create your own design and bring it in to us at Everything Vibrant, you can use Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, but you might need to hire a graphic designer to help with your designs. Of course, you may already have a range of company designs, such as slogans or logos and we can easily create t-shirt transfers from these. Just a heads up – we need the designs in PDF or EPS with a CMYK colour format. Your graphic designer will know what this means, but if you not sure, just call us up for a chat.

•    The colours: You can chose as many colours as you want for your design, but remember that the colours you see on the PC screen will be slightly different when they are applied to the fabric. It’s good for you to know that we use CMYK colours, but even so, there will still be a slight difference in the colours. Also remember that colours may be different depending on the type of material in the t-shirt or garment. The designs will be of a photo quality finish, just the colours may not look exactly as they do on your PC screen.

•    The cost: Our costs depend on the number of garments or t-shirt transfers you require, the size and placement of the design, the type of garment (other than a t-shirt) and the complexity of the design.

So all you need to do is email your artwork to us, tell us the quantity you need and the type of garment, and we are good to go.

We look forward to seeing you at Everything Vibrant in Brisbane - Digital printing is the way of the future!
