How to get started with digital fabric printing

In Brisbane, digital printing is very popular and many of our clients use this process to create t-shirt transfers which can then be pressed onto t-shirts or other garments and used in their marketing campaigns. One of the questions we are quite often asked is how do they get started with digital fabric printing and what do they need to give us, to us to set the ball in motion?

So we have put together a few tips for companies that will hopefully make organising your next promotional campaign a breeze:

•    The design: If you want to create your own design and bring it in to us at Everything Vibrant, you can use Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, but you might need to hire a graphic designer to help with your designs. Of course, you may already have a range of company designs, such as slogans or logos and we can easily create t-shirt transfers from these. Just a heads up – we need the designs in PDF or EPS with a CMYK colour format. Your graphic designer will know what this means, but if you not sure, just call us up for a chat.

•    The colours: You can chose as many colours as you want for your design, but remember that the colours you see on the PC screen will be slightly different when they are applied to the fabric. It’s good for you to know that we use CMYK colours, but even so, there will still be a slight difference in the colours. Also remember that colours may be different depending on the type of material in the t-shirt or garment. The designs will be of a photo quality finish, just the colours may not look exactly as they do on your PC screen.

•    The cost: Our costs depend on the number of garments or t-shirt transfers you require, the size and placement of the design, the type of garment (other than a t-shirt) and the complexity of the design.

So all you need to do is email your artwork to us, tell us the quantity you need and the type of garment, and we are good to go.

We look forward to seeing you at Everything Vibrant in Brisbane - Digital printing is the way of the future!

How digital printing has overtaken screen printing for t-shirts

At Everything Vibrant, we provide digital fabric printing and transfers and stickers for promotional events. We don’t actually use screen printing for t-shirts, because digital printing is faster and cheaper and the result is a fabulous photo finish image.

The history of screen printing is quite interesting however, and you can still find people who provide this service, due to the attraction of its handmade finish.

Screen printing history from China to Europe

Screen printing in its original form was first seen in China during the Song Dynasty (about a thousand years ago) and then it slowly moved into Japan and across Asia. It was first noted in Europe during the late 1700’s, and was mainly used to print designs and colours onto paper and linens or other fine fabrics.

It slowly started to gain popularity with local European artists, as an effective form of artistic expression and was patented in 1907 by Samuel Simon. Although it was not until the 1930’s that any profitable use was found for screen printing.

Recent history of screen printing

The 1960’s created the right environment for free expression and screen printing came into its own during this time. There were masses of screen printed t-shirts and posters created during the 60’s and screen printing remained a popular method of fabric printing until fairly recently.

Its demise has come about mainly due to technology and the advent of digital fabric printing. It is so quick and easy to upload a design to a PC and then print off as many transfers as you need. You no longer have to create stencils and wait while each layer of colour dries, before applying the next layer.

So as with many outdated items or processes, technology has overtaken screen printing and it is no longer seen as a cost effective form of fabric printing; screen printing t-shirts is no longer the booming business it was a few years ago.

At Everything Vibrant we specialise in digital fabric printing and we create t-shirt transfers and stickers for local businesses. So if you are interested in using promotional t-shirts and stickers in your next marketing campaign, call us on 07 3386 0536 or complete our online enquiry form.

Why is digital fabric printing more popular than screen printing in Brisbane?

At Everything Vibrant, we are biased, because we only provide digital fabric printing, we don’t provide screen printing in Brisbane. There is a very good reason for this however, and that is because digital fabric printing is much more popular than screen printing in Brisbane.

Why is that? Well there are 3 good reasons why digital fabric printing has taken over from screen printing:

1. Digital printing is faster: This method involves uploading your design to a PC and then printing a digital transfer onto a t-shirt using a special printer. Once your design is uploaded, all it takes is the click of a few buttons and your t-shirt transfer is done. Screen printing, on the other hand, requires individual stencils for each colour element and is very time consuming.

2. More complex designs: It doesn’t matter how complex your designs are with digital printing, because once uploaded, you are good to go. Digital printing is fabulous for really intricate designs, whereas screen printing requires far more simple designs, as the design is created using stencils. Digital printers can also incorporate lots of different colours and have a photo quality finish to the transfer. Screen printing is limited to only 3 or 4 colours and has a more handmade finish to the design.

3. Cost savings: Because it is so fast, digital fabric printing is also much cheaper, particularly when you only want a few t-shirts printed. On the other hand, screen printing is very involved and time consuming, due to all the work involved in creating the different stencils and is just not cost effective for a small batch of orders.

The drawcard for screen printing is that it does have a handmade appearance, which for many people is part of the attraction. For businesses however, who are looking for a cost-effective way to promote their products or services in Brisbane, screen printing does not fit the bill.

So if you are looking for digital fabric printing in Brisbane, call us on 07 3386 0536 or complete our online enquiry form.

Why digital fabric printing has taken over from screen printing in Brisbane

Over the past few years, the rapid increase in digital fabric printing has meant that printing companies have tended to moved away from the more traditional printing methods, particularly in Brisbane. Screen printing is now less popular and it can be difficult to find a company that offers this method of printing.

So are there really any reasons to use the older methods, like screen printing, rather than the more modern digital fabric printing? Well here at Everything Vibrant, we only offer digital fabric printing, because our customers find that this is the best option for them.

There are however, some instances when screen printing might be the better option, so let’s take a look at how the two printing methods stack up against one another.

Screen printing: In this older method of printing, layers of different coloured inks are laid down on a specially created stencil that represents the design. You need a different stencil for each colour (so you are usually limited to 3 or 4 colours) and between creating the stencil and having to apply the colours one after the other (once each layer has dried), this is a long drawn out process. It does produce a lovely, handcrafted quality to the designs, but can also be costly because of the craftsmanship required in creating each stencil and the length of time it takes to complete the job.

Digital fabric printing: This newer method of printing simply involves uploading your design to a PC and printing the design onto the fabric, using a specialised printer. It is much faster than screen printing (as you can imagine) and creates photo quality images of complex designs, which can have as many colours as you like.

One problem with this method is that whilst the number of colours is infinite, the actual colours of the design depend on the type of pre-loaded colours in the printer. Also, the size of the design is limited by the size of the printer, whereas, within reason, with screen printing your design can be as large as you want.

So at Everything Vibrant in Brisbane, screen printing is not a method we use for our clients. We focus on producing high photo quality images, at low cost and fast. You are most welcome to call us on 07 3386 0536 to discuss your needs or visit our website.

How high visibility clothing improves safety

Did you know that high visibility clothing was first used in the United Kingdom in 1964? Apparently they were first issued to rail track workers in Scotland and were so successful that they were rolled out throughout the U.K. to all rail workers.

Now of course, high visibility clothing is essential for council workers and any situation where there is low light and poor visibility for workers. They are particularly essential when working around moving vehicles and we have all seen road workers wearing these high-vis vests, during both the day time and night time.

So if you are a business owner, how do you know that your employees need to wear this type of safety gear? Well the Australian Standard AS/NZS4602.1 sets out the types of high visibility clothing and the situations when it must be worn. There are three different classifications:

  • Class D: A high visibility garment for outdoor daytime use, which sets out the type of florescent colour that must be used in the material. It also states that at a minimum, the clothing must encircle the upper body.
  • Class N: Designed for night time use only and must include retro reflective elements on a non-retro reflective background. The retro reflective elements can be easily seen by drivers in their headlights. The Standard sets out the size of the retro reflective strips that must be incorporated into the clothing and the style and location of these strips on this type of clothing; text or symbols must occupy additional space. The clothing must encircle the upper body down to the waist.
  • Class D/N: These are a combination of the above garments and can be worn in both high and low visibility environments, in other words, during the daytime and night time. They must combine all elements from both Class D and Class N high visibility clothing.
If you believe that your employees need high visibility clothing then check the Australian Standards and then call us at Everything Vibrant in Brisbane. We can print high visibility reflective vinyl onto your work wear, which means that we can print the reflective strips and your company name and logo onto your safety wear.

However, people also want good quality and if you want consumers to wear your t-shirts, feel good about themselves and advertise your company - then the t-shirts need to be well made and they need to have a design that is printed to a very high quality.

Even if it is free, a t-shirt is very personal item and people just won’t wear them if the designs are all fuzzy and badly printed. Fast Custom T-shirts Printed Online

Screen printing t-shirts, digital printing, transfers and stickers are a great way to ramp up your marketing campaign by adding some promotional material to the mix.

We all know that in today’s global marketplace, everything is becoming faster paced and everyone wants things done yesterday. People don’t have the time to hunt around for products and services like they used to – they want to do a quick online search, find what they are looking for and then move on. Which makes it so great that you can order all of your printing needs online in double quick time. However, lots of businesses are looking for screen printing-shirt services when what they really want is digital printing.

Screen printing t-shirts vs. digital printing

Screen printing t-shirts is the old fashioned way of printing fabric, used before we had computers and digital technology. There is nothing intrinsically wrong with screen printing t-shirts, but the process and the results are completely different to digitally printed t-shirts.

T-shirt transfers and stickers for your logos or other slogans are always best when printed digitally as they can be printed very quickly and result in photo quality images. This is one of the main reasons why digital printing is better than screen printing t-shirts.

If you have a complex design with lots of colours, or you want a photo quality finish to your designs, then you need to use digital printing. On the other hand if you want a more handcrafted look to your design and you only have 3 or 4 colours to the design, then you could just as easily chose screen printing.

Another consideration is that digital printing, by its very nature, is fast and once the design is loaded into the computer, any number of t-shirts can be printed fairly quickly from the one design. Screen printing, because it involves creating individual screens for each colour in the design, takes a lot longer to prepare and set up. The whole process of screen printing takes a lot longer than digital printing in fact, but if want a handcrafted look to your design then you do need to use screen printing.

Many people still think of screen printing t-shirts for their next promotional event, not realising that digital printing is so easily available and can create much more complex designs. So if you want fast custom t-shirts printed for your next marketing event, check out digital printing, transfers and stickers at Everything Vibrant.

1.    Social media: You cannot deny that social media is one of the best ways to share information. It is also a great way to increase the awareness of your business into the global community, so if you are not taking advantage of this method, you are leaving money on the table.

2.    Set up a website: In this day and age if you don’t have a website for your business you are unlikely to be found by potential customers, unless they are walking by outside your shop. A website gives you instant brand awareness and if done correctly can allow you to reach thousands of customers worldwide.

3.    Sponsor an event: Sponsoring local events, such as sporting events, helps you to become noticed in your community, not only as a business that provides a product or service, but as a philanthropist. You can order your t-shirt printing in Brisbane from us at Everything Vibrant and have your logo or slogan printed on sportswear or t-shirts to promote your business.

4.    Press releases: Some people think that press releases are just for celebrities, huge corporate businesses or governments. Not so. You can write a press release for a new product launch, a special discount offer or to announce a new member of staff. Press releases are a great way to put your business name in front of thousands of people quickly.

5.     Attend an event: By this I mean a conference, trade event or local fete. Anywhere people congregate is where you need to be. Then strike up a conversation and give them a free promotional t-shirt transfer – people love free stuff.

So if you are looking for ways to increase the exposure of your business in the marketplace, don’t forget to pop into us at Everything Vibrant, the leading store in Brisbane for digital printing. We have everything you need for t-shirt printing in Brisbane and we even supply you with the t-shirt transfers so you can give them away as promotional gifts as well.

Everything Vibrant: Get printed apparel at a fraction of the cost

Lots of businesses come to us at Everything Vibrant for their promotional merchandise, such as t-shirts, transfers and stickers. A popular question we are often asked about is the difference between screen printing t-shirts and digital printing.

As a business owner, the one factor that is most probably at the top of your mind, when you are looking for promotional materials, is the cost. So it’s good to know that in most cases, digital printing is cheaper than screen printing t-shirts, not in all cases, but in most cases.

This cost differential is because of the methods used in each type of printing, with one method being cheaper than the other because it is quicker to set up.

Screen printing t-shirts

This method is costly to set up because the image is transferred to the fabric using a separate screen or stencil for each of the individual colours. This usually limits the number of colours in the design to just 3 or 4, which creates a more hand crafted appearance compared to a photo quality finish, which is necessary for most complex designs.

If you have large orders, then the setup costs can appear pretty minimal compared to the overall cost of the total order, so this might not be a problem to you.

Digital fabric printing

The reason why this method is cheaper than screen printing for t-shirts, is because there is no extensive set up. You just load your design to the computer, send it to the printer and your design is printed onto the transfer or fabric. Using this method for small, customised orders, which is the type of order we receive from most businesses, allows you to have printed apparel at a fraction of the cost, compared to using screen printing for your t-shirts.

So if you want small, customised orders for your business, digital fabric printing is a much cheaper option than screen printing t-shirts.

With the digital printing method, we can actually provide you with transfers and stickers or we can print them onto the t-shirts for you. The beauty of this method is that it is a fast and cost effective way to create your promotional products and increase the exposure of your brand within the community.

We also have mugs, stubby coolers, badges, signage, pennants and ribbons that can be used in your promotional campaigns. Just pop in and have a chat with us or go to our website. We look forward to helping you expand your business.

Simple steps to planning your next promotional event

If you have just started a new business and are thinking of organising your first promotional event, the whole process can be a bit daunting.

At Everything Vibrant we understand all about promotional events and we have lots of transfers and stickers that you can use as free giveaways at your promo. We also find that giving away free promotional t-shirts with feature your logo or slogan is a great way to increase awareness of your brand.

Our t-shirts are digitally printed, which means that they have a high quality finish and small orders are no problem. People sometimes ask us about screen printing t-shirts, but while screen-printed materials have a great handmade appeal, the process is time consuming and the finished product is not photo quality. Screen printing t-shirts is somewhat of an outdated technique.

Anyway – back to promoting your first event. Here are a few steps that will make everything run smoothly for you:
  •  What sort of event do you want to organise? You could sponsor a local sports competition, a reading room for children at the local library, a charity or have stall at a local market or a trade show.
  •  What is your message? Decide on the key message you want to get across to your audience. How many people might attend and how can you present your message or your brand to these people?
  • Sports events: Make sure the trophies and awards will have your company’s logo engraved on them. Talk to the event organisers to determine the best locations for your promotional signage and discuss the opportunity for distributing free transfers and stickers to the attendees.
  • Trade shows: Know the size of your stall and the layout of the building. Make sure you have all your promotional material ready and that your staff know how to approach visitors and the best way to promote your brand.
  • Tell the media: Make sure that the local media know that you are sponsoring a particular sports event and ask them if they would like to write a short article on your business and your philanthropic contributions to the community. You can even write a press release yourself and approach the local paper to have it printed.
If you are attending a trade event then a short press release about your business and the upcoming trade event might be worthwhile as well.

At Everything Vibrant we are more than happy for you to pop in and discuss your promotional needs. Ask us about photo quality digital transfers and stickers, and we can help ensure that your next promo event is one to remember.

What’s the difference between digital fabric printing and screen printing?

With the growth in technology over the past 10 to 20 years and the massive increase in number of computers, it is no surprise that the printing industry has also changed to encompass the digital age.

These changes have meant that many printing businesses now focus solely on digital fabric printing, especially in busy cities like Brisbane. Screen printing techniques have been superseded and can take a while to search out – if you are determined that you want to use this method of printing.

So what are the differences between digital fabric printing and screen printing? Are there circumstances when one is better than the other or is it just a change in technology that has fed the decline in screen printing?

What is screen printing?

This involves creating a stencil and applying layers of ink to the fabric, using a different stencil for each colour. This is a long, drawn out process, because each colour requires a separate stencil.

What are the PROS AND CONS of screen printing?

One of the benefits of screen printing is that it is a handmade process which some people really prefer to more mass produced products. This type of printing produces high quality, professional and durable designs that lend themselves very well to larger designs.

The problem with screen printing is that the setup can take a fair while because of all the stencils, so there is usually a minimum order quantity and it does not produce photo quality finishes – they are clearly handmade.

What is digital fabric printing?

This method involves a computer where the digital design is printed directly onto the fabric using a specialised printer.

What are the PROS AND CONS of digital fabric printing?

The benefits of digital fabric printing are that it does produce photo quality images and designs, there is no minimum order needed (because new designs can be uploaded simply), and the process is fast.

The problem with this type of printing is that you might not have an exact colour match with your design because of the pre-loaded colours used in the printer, and the printable area is limited by the capacity of the printer.

At Everything Vibrant in Brisbane, screen printing is not a method that we use – we focus on creating high quality photo quality digital images. Our digital fabric printing is very popular with Brisbane businesses as it is used as a promotional gift in their branding campaigns.

Are Digital Fabric Printing and Screen Printing - the same as IPods and Cassette Players?

So you thought this was a blog about digital fabric printing and transfers and stickers? So what do IPods and cassette players have to do with that? Well, how many cassette players do you see for sale in Dick Smith’s? And how many IPods? My point exactly!

I am sure you can see where I am going with this – cassette players are old hat, defunct, no-one wants them. But they do want IPods. Its new technology, fills a niche and everyone wants one. So my question is this – Is digital fabric printing the new screen printing?

Why would you use screen printing in Brisbane – when you can use digital printing? And we are talking about screen printing t-shirts here (because Everything Vibrant makes awesome digital t-shirt transfers!).

Well let’s take a look at both methods and see if we can decide if we are talking IPods and cassette players here.

Screen printing t-shirts

Screen printing is an old technique – first used by the Chinese around 1000 AD. It uses a stencil to apply layers of ink onto the fabric. And you need a different stencil for each colour in the design. It can be quite time consuming, but for large orders it is very cost-effective.

Digital fabric printing – direct to garment
Your design is created on a PC and then transferred to a printing machine and the design is printed straight onto the fabric. This is called direct to fabric printing and is easier than screen printing as it is a single, fast process.

As a printing method, the problem with direct to fabric printing is that it uses heat to transfer the designs onto the fabric. So you can only use 100% natural fibres or materials with a high mix of cotton – nylons and polyesters just melt under the heat!

Digital fabric printing – transfers

Now using the digital technique to create transfers is a lot more versatile than screen printing or direct to fabric printing. Small orders are no problem and delivery is fast. With digital printing your t-shirts are embellished with photographic quality images, impossible to achieve with screen printing techniques. And the transfers can be applied to any material from neoprene to silk!

In today’s competitive market, when you need promotional t-shirts for your business - digital transfers win hands down against screen printing t-shirts. So, yes digital fabric printing is the new IPod!

For all your digital fabric printing needs - call Everything Vibrant on 07 3386 0536, email us on sales@everythingvibrant.com.au or fill in our online enquiry form.

3 Reasons to Include Transfers and Stickers in your Business Marketing Plan

Marketing is all about gaining the consumer’s attention and then making the sale. If you can’t grab their attention – you will soon be out of business. And a great way to grab people’s attention is with promotional products. And one of the best ways to do this is to use transfers and stickers.

You might not believe it, but T-shirt transfers and stickers are two of the best ways to advertise your business. Particularly if you have your own logo or tagline. In Brisbane, t-shirt printing and promotional stickers for marketing purposes are on the increase as businesses realise that they can get a ton of free advertising at little cost to their budget.

So here are 3 great reasons why transfers and stickers should be part of your marketing plan:

1.     People are walking billboards: You don’t need to empty out your budget for huge billboards or TV ads. Give people free t-shirts with your logo or tagline printed on the front (and maybe the back) and you have instant FREE advertising! Everywhere they go and everyone who sees them will also see your business information - all of their friends, relatives, colleagues and even total strangers. All are potential customers and all will be exposed to your branding.

2.     Everyone has a car: What about car bumper stickers and car window stickers? Give them away free. People love this stuff! Not everyone will stick it on their car but enough will. And once again, you have instant FREE advertising.

3.     Increase brand exposure: So you have people walking around wearing your logo and taglines on their t-shirts, they are driving around in their cars or trucks with your logo and taglines emblazoned on their bumper or rear window. FREE advertising! You have instantly increased brand awareness and brand exposure. And it has cost you very little in dollar terms.

As you can see, transfers and stickers are a great way to increase people’s awareness of your business or service. And as part of your overall marketing strategy their cost is practically nominal, but the returns can be substantial.

Custom Printed Clothing Designs

There are many approaches to designing custom printed clothing and apparel. The best approach will depend on the intended use of the design. A social group may want a different end product than a single individual or a professional organisation. Luckily Everything Vibrant offers processes and products designed to meet every need.

Photo-Realistic Imagery

Dye sublimation printing is a technique that allows for production of lab quality photographic images. Clothing printed with this method has a soft feel to the images. The image is non-cracking, non-fading and can be extremely detailed. Traditional screen printing produces an end product with limited colours, sharp edges to the design and is stiff. Dye sublimation uses heat to bond the colours to the fibre while other processes just lay it on top of the fabric.

Sporting Team Shirts and Gear

Everything Vibrant specialises in creating wholesale clothing lettering and numbering for organisations like sports teams and businesses. Lettering can come in a number of different fonts and sizes, with 20 cm being standard for back playing names and numbers. Everything Vibrant can match particular colours if needed. They can create easily applied garment decorations to fulfil any size order.

High Visibility Gear for Work and Play

Many people use high visibility clothing daily. Those who work at night find safety wear to be invaluable. There are also hobbyists such as cyclists and runners who wear reflective safety gear to be easy to see in the dark. Everything Vibrant can print reflective vinyl designs onto garments.

The Printing Process

Everything Vibrant prides itself on an easy and streamlined process for custom designs. Each prospective design's artwork is submitted at sales@everythingvibrant.com.au. They can easily use vector art in PDF or EPS form if it has CMYK color formatting. They take each logo and convert it before printing. Special large scale machinery is used to turn each design into a transfer that can be applied to a piece of clothing. Each print is inspected, all excess print media removed and then the transfer receives a protective lamination layer. Each individual design arrives ready to be applied to a garment. A hot iron or a heat press is then used to permanently bond the inks to the fabric of the chosen clothing.

Visual Impact 2014: The Largest Print Expo in Brisbane

The Australian print industry is looking forward to the upcoming Visual Impact 2014, a print, exhibition that occurs bi-annually in Brisbane. The fair showcases the latest developments in the visual graphics industry, including digital printing, vinyl application, and screen printing.

What's On Offer at Visual Impact 2014?

Visual Impact 2014 runs from 10 to 12 April at Hall 2, Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. There will be around 60 exhibitors at the trade show, and of course, there'll a lot of emphasis on digital printing, which is the fastest growing sector of the print industry.

There'll be a number of workshops on offer, with topics such as engraving; achieving high-quality products at reduced production costs; colour matching; tips, tricks, and technology of sublimation printing for hard and soft products; and, heat transfer skills.

The Effect of New Printing Technologies

One area that Visual Impact 2014 focuses on is print technology of the future and how businesses can transform print into value. Of course, T-shirt transfers and screen printing T-shirts is an excellent way to cost-effectively promote a business to a large audience.

As digital printing develops, a myriad options become available and T-shirt printing in Brisbane can revolutionise the marketing strategies of various companies looking for new methods of promoting their products.

Screen printed T-shirts can be used for merchandising, for students, sportwear, to sell at concerts, and for tourists, just to name a few target markets. Caring for Hi-Vis Clothing

There's nothing more ineffective than high visibility clothing that is faded and torn as it defeats the whole purpose of wearing it. Hi-vis clothing is often worn in harsh work environments so it needs some care to keep it looking at its brightest.

There are a number of hi-vis clothing regulations in Australia, and they include the categorising of the three types of clothing:

  • Class D: This is clothing for day-time wear, and is typically made of fluorescent fabric, which is not reflective but basically converts UV rays to visible light.
  • Class N: This is night-time clothing, and it's made from retroreflective material, which causes light to be reflected back to its source, for example, the headlight of a car. Retroreflective strips or retroreflective clothing lettering should be at least 50 mm wide.
  • Class D/N: This is clothing that can be worn during the day and night, and is a combination of fluorescent and retroreflective materials.

Can hi-vis clothing be washed?

It's important to keep high visibility clothing in good condition so that it fulfils its protective functions. The label in each item of clothing should be checked for care instructions. Generally, most hi-vis clothing, with or without hi-vis lettering, can be washed under the following conditions:
  • Machine wash warm
  • Use only a non-chlorine bleach or colour-safe stain removal spray
  • Air dry in the shade
  • Do not iron
  • Dry clean with a specialised provider

Waterproof hi-vis gear should be spot cleaned with a mild detergent and luke warm water.

The label on the garment may state how many washing and drying cycles it can undergo before the fabric begins to fade, remembering that normal wear and tear will also degrade the visual qualities of the fabrics.

General care

Hi-vis clothing should be checked regularly to make sure that it is not torn, stained, or damaged in any way. If repair is impossible, the garment needs to be replaced.

Everything Vibrant, Brisbane, supply hi-vis clothing and printed hi-vis clothing lettering for work and leisure environments. To find out more, contact them on (07) 3341 1194 or through their website.

Make Your Party One To Remember

Everyone loves a party, and there's nothing better than getting together with your friends and family to celebrate a special occasion like a wedding, engagement or milestone birthday. More of us than ever are partying in clubs and bars rather than hosting the party at home, and one of the most popular ways of getting everyone in the party spirit is by coordinating party clothing.

Keeping a Headcount

If you're going out with a group of friends, it can be really hard to keep track of everyone in a crowded bar or club. This problem vanishes completely when everyone is wearing the same t-shirt. Everything Vibrant are experts in t-shirt transfers and printing. We will help you come up with a great design for your event t-shirts, and will help you with colour and sizing choices too. T-shirt printing Brisbane gives you many different options when you enter it into a search engine, but Everything Vibrant use the latest equipment and techniques to come up with the best products around.

Party Gifts

If you're hosting a Buck's Party or Hen's Night, it's a nice touch to present your guests with their own t-shirt to wear either during the event or as a small gift when they leave. You don't want your special party to be reflected in poorly designed outfits, and as there are so many options, it can be hard to know where to turn for t-shirt printing. Brisbane alone has many different possibilities, but it's worth taking some time to find a company which will meet your needs exactly. Look through galleries and testimonials from previous customers, and don't be afraid to pick up the phone and ask them exactly what sort of service they can offer.

Personalized Touch

Everything is done online these days, and one of the great things about modern t-shirt printing techniques is that you don't have to leave the design in the hands of the printer. Simply email over your artwork, specify color and sizing, and the t-shirts can be produced to your exact specifications, guaranteeing a party to remember.

Fair Dinkum Info on Digital Fabric Printing

Q: What began as a trickle in the 1950s and is now a world-wide phenomenon?

A: Printed T-shirts.

In the early days, prints on T-shirts were low quality and when washed they often faded and peeled. Modern technology, however, in the form of digital fabric printing has changed all that.

Types of Digital Fabric Printing

  • Screen printing
  • Direct to garment (DTG) digital printing
  • Dye-sublimation printing
  • Digital transfer printing

These are all quite different processes and are suitable for a variety of materials such as clothing, bags, or stubby coolers. Brisbane screen printing is best for large orders as the set-up process is complicated. On the other hand, digital transfer printing is ideal for small quantities or even one-off orders as the process is quick, easy, and clean.

 How Are Digital Transfers Produced?

The artwork, either supplied by the customer or designed by the digital printing company, is loaded onto the computer. Once the artwork is correct, it is printed out in the number required and, depending on the type of inks used, may be left to dry or sent on immediately to the next step. The transfers are cut using a vinyl plotter, and they are then weeded. This part of the process takes the longest time as it involves the manual removal of the excess paper around the printed image. Once the weeding is finished, the transfers are laminated and can be applied to the fabric. Application can be done by the customer with an iron or by the print company using a heat press.

Caring for Printed T-Shirts

Once a T-shirt has undergone digital fabric printing in the form of a digital transfer, it is easy to keep the print in almost pristine condition if the following is observed:

  • Check the care label in the shirt.
  • Turn the shirt inside out for washing and ironing.
  • Machine wash the shirt in warm, not hot, water.
  • Hang to dry, no tumbling or dry cleaning.

Transfers are easily applied using an iron or a heat press. They can be printed on many types of material that includes denim, nylon, canvas, linen, silk as well as other material. Transfers can be applied to T-shirts, swimwear, bags, and more.
Clothing lettering for clothing such as team shirts and uniforms is available in full colour digital print. The letter transfers come in many styles. College, collegiate, and arial black are the standard lettering options. Customers are able to order the lettering on the clothing items eliminating the process of transferring the lettering.

Stickers

Customers can order stickers for advertising purposes including bumper stickers, stickers for car widows as well as window graphics. The selected design comes in full colour and it is printed with a UV resistant ink that is designed for outdoor use. Stickers are a wonderful item to use for promotional giveaways. The self adhesive vinyl is durable and it will last and look great on any store front. Customers can send in their own images to be printed onto the stickers or transfers. Using the user-friendly web site makes it easy to upload your image so you can email it if it is a larger image.
